bio
I was born in Newport Beach September 18th, 1977, I grew up with lots of creativity around me since i can remember anything since most of my family was involved with painting, designing clothes, graphic design and photography. I used to enjoy drawing very much as i would sit and spend hours working on different projects. I soon picked up a video camera and was making short films and editing by the time i was 14 years old using 2 VCRs and editing me and my buddies surf trips and adventures.
My passion grew stronger as i grew older and I was lucky that technology was evolving as i was too. I never used a computer till i was in 11th grade, in fact i was afraid of computers. That soon changed as i figured out I could express my creativity on a whole new level. I embraced technology and I wanted to create more and more, it became a part of who I am in a way.
It was just 7 years ago that i picked up my first SLR camera and began to fall in love with capturing moments in time. I am a bit of a new generation of photographers since i never shot with film. Digital photography has become so advanced that most photographers have left those days behind them where they would shoot roll after roll of expensive film and pay for processing and wait days to see a final product. The instant gratification of seeing your photos has made me a better photographer in a faster way since i could see my mistakes or my best work in an instant.
In my short 7 years, I've been fortunate enough to travel the planet capturing moments, I've had my work published in many print magazines, posters, banners, websites and even billboards. My eye as a photographer is that of a photographic journalist, I like to move around my subjects and explore all the possibilities that a situation has to offer. I look for the most creative way to take my pictures no matter what project I am working on.
